首先：完成majors不是必需的(Completion of a major is an optional requirement of the Master of Information Technology.) 然后：A major requires the completion of all core units of study as prescribed by the faculty and at least 18 credit points chosen from the Specialist units of study listed in the table for the defined major.也就是说每个major对应许多课程，但是你不用修完，但至少完成个18学分的相关课程（其中你可以通过参与research项目来抵消6个学分）。不过还有一个前提，就是要在第一年完成所有的core units，一共三个。 结论是，你不用选择，达到要求你就可以拿到award of a major啦。
