Ivanhoe Grammar School is a multi campus coeducational Anglican school with a long history of academic achievement and co-curricular opportunity.

Our Campuses

The Ivanhoe Campus incorporates Buckley House and the Ridgeway Campus and offers coeducational learning from Early Learning to Year 12. It is Ivanhoe Grammar School’s original campus and has earned its outstanding reputation over years of providing leading education possibilities and achievements. The Plenty Campus in Mernda offers students from Prep to Year 12 in the northern region easy access to outstanding educational opportunities.

Curriculum

The curriculum at Ivanhoe Grammar School takes into account the different stages of children’s development and attitudes towards learning. At the primary level, we provide students with a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy, teaching through encouragement and inspiring a love of learning.

In the Middle Years, we focus on the development of the whole child, providing a wide range of subject choices and an exciting Year 9 program, where students participate in out-of-classroom experiences designed to enhance their learning and help develop independent study skills. Our Senior Years program enables students to prepare for the challenges of the VCE or IB over three years rather than two, with a flexibility that provides increased choice.

Uniquely Ivanhoe

Our focus on service is supported by numerous projects, local and international, giving students the encouragement and opportunity to get involved in actions that help others and to understand the value of giving to the community. We also uphold the importance of coordinated, effective pastoral care to enable students to flourish and embed the principles and practices of positive psychology in all areas of school life.

Co-curricular

Ivanhoe is dedicated to offering more than just academic achievement. Also offered are sporting, music, performing arts, outdoor education, debating, leadership training, cadets and equestrian pursuits — just to name a few.

Learning environment

Our students have access to advanced information technology infrastructure and outstanding school facilities. Learning is enhanced through a notebook computer and iPad program, the Ivanhoe Connect learning management system and eLearning support services.
