About Abbotsleigh

Abbotsleigh is an independent Anglican school for girls that encourages each girl to develop her potential by fostering her pursuit of personal and academic excellence. The school provides a quality, well-balanced education underpinned by the Christian faith. Each girl is empowered to be courageous, constructive and compassionate; embrace diversity; and make a difference to the lives of others.

Our number one focus at Abbotsleigh is creating the richest possible learning environment for the intellectual, emotional, physical, social and spiritual development of our learners.

Abbotsleigh girls develop a philosophy of life which will enable them to be courageous world citizens. Our extensive Service-Learning program fosters an enriched sense of social responsibility in each student.

Every year Abbotsleigh achieves outstanding results in both the NAPLAN testing and HSC. Girls are regularly nominated and selected for OnSTAGE, ARTEXPRESS, DesignTECH and ENCORE. Girls also compete and perform at high levels in athletics, swimming and diving, sailing, snow sports, mountain biking and equestrian events, among others.

At Abbotsleigh, size is important. We are big enough to offer a wide variety of programs, but small enough to offer personalised academic and pastoral care.

Come and visit us — we’d love to show you around.
