The normal visa to apply for in this situation would be a training visa subclass 407; this fits with the ANU visitor description of “Occupational Trainee” that allows for a long-term visitor working/training with us on both collaborative & non-collaborative research.

我也是2017年博士连培到澳大利亚，我也查了一下，感觉应该是需要办理408签证，主要的信息都在上边两个网址里，第一个应该是某个机构整理的，第二个是澳大利亚移民局官网上的信息，你可以参考一下。我自己也不是太确定，在小木虫上看了一些帖子，有人说留学基金委会推荐签证类型。有问题及时沟通哈~
