St Joseph’s College is a boys’ Catholic secondary school founded in 1965. St Joseph's is a College for boys in the tradition of St John Bosco — a Catholic order committed to working with and for young people. With a school population of just over 1000 boys, the College is divided into the Junior Campus (Years 7 to 8), the Valdocco Campus (Year 9) and the Senior Campus (Years 10 to 12).
We are leaders in boys’ education. We provide a Salesian education that inspires dynamic learning that is life-focused, person-centered and built on the respect between teacher and student. Our broad and innovative curriculum caters for the needs of all our students, both academically and emotionally. In addition to providing a curriculum that supports differentiated learning in mainstream classes, the College is also committed to providing learning enhancement for its special needs students, including Consolidation and Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) programs.
At St Joseph’s, we strongly believe that every student is capable of achieving personal excellence. Our curriculum structures and pedagogical approach are centered around supporting and developing excellence. Our specialised curriculum programs — Year 7 and 8 LEAP programs and the Year 9 Valdocco Program — all focus on developing learning relationships and thinking skills to support lifelong learning. Our senior school programs for Years 10 to 12 offer multiple pathway opportunities for students, expertly preparing them for university, TAFE, vocational study or entry into the workforce.
