One of Australia's leading coeducational independent schools, St Leonard's College is a friendly, vibrant, inclusive community. Committed to a holistic approach to education - 'head, heart and soul' - we believe that the education of young people is a privilege, not just a responsibility.
At St Leonard's College, the academic curriculum is central. Our highly skilled teachers are guided by the best curriculum initiatives. Having a strong international focus, we offer both the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.
We value openness, tolerance and the diversity which strengthens our ability to recognise the multiple intelligences of our students.
Most importantly, we recognise that a great school isn't just about grades. It's about creativity; broad co-curricular opportunities; fun and friendship between young men and women who support and encourage each other to embrace new opportunities and develop the skills needed to contribute to a changing world.
St Leonard's College is committed to employing, developing and retaining the very best teachers.
St Leonard’s College focuses on developing the key academic fundamentals, and we are mindful of the need to develop young people with enquiring minds capable of critical thinking.
Our students enjoy modern facilities and learning resources that cater to a wide range of interests and provide a unique learning environment for academic and personal growth.
St Leonard’s College has a proud educational tradition stretching back to 1897.

The college is also accredited to offer the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.
Our first-class facilities include wellresourced libraries, music and art centres, multi-purpose halls and sporting facilities such as the Hawkes Sports Centre, with a pool, aerobics room and weights room.
The Upper School building incorporates leading technologies and resources to help students achieve in their senior years. A dedicated outdoor environmental centre, Camp Ibis, is located on the Gippsland Lakes.
Traditional sports and outdoor activities are available at St Leonard’s College along with skiing, snowboarding, surfing, cheer sports, aerobics, equestrian, sailing, golf and surf lifesaving. The college takes part in mid-week inter-school sports competitions through the Association of Coeducational Schools.
